Yikes - another week has flown by since the last meeting!   Last week's meeting was another good one, most notably due to what I thought were 4 of the best speeches in a single night that I've heard in a while.   Virtually every week we manage to get at least one speech that stands out for it's entertainment value, quality information provided or simply because a given speaker is just inspiring to watch and listen to.   This week though, they were all very good - definitely one of the best ways to spend a Thursday night you'll find in Dallas (imho).  :)

Mac "Club Curmudgeon" Smith was Toastmaster last week, and his theme of "Management of Time" was an interesting reminder of the importance of staying "time aware" for each of us, as well as educational by keeping us all aware of how we were tracking against the targets set in the agenda.    Learning to be succinct and considerate in our communication is just one of the educational benefits we from becoming Toastmasters, and despite 4 speeches we were still out almost exactly at 8:30pm.

We welcomed another new member, so be sure to say hi to Julian Placino if you weren't able to attend last week.

Also, thanks to everyone who has completed the Big "D" redesign website survey so far, and it you haven't done that yet please put it on your "things to do" list.

This week's meeting (tomorrow, 6:30pm) features Jonathan Wood as Toastmaster (first spin at that role, I believe?), with Frank Kozel running Table Topics and Keri Boyce managing the Evaluators.  4 speeches are scheduled again, and if I had to bet I would put my money on the chance that "a good time will be had by all".
