Get a Date ...Achieve Your Next Educational Goal ...

Why is it that two people join a Toastmasters Club on the same night and a few months down the road, one of them is on their 4th project and the other hasn't been to a meeting for some time?

More food for thought; Jump forward one year and the person who had been working on the 4th project is now finishing the Advanced Communicator Bronze. The other one? After the first six months, never heard from again.

I truly believe it can be summed up in one short sentence;

Set a goal and work to achieve that goal!

When do you PLAN to get your Competent Communicator (CC)?
When do you PLAN to get your Competent Leadership (CL)?
When do you PLAN to complete your ACB and CLB?
Do you have a date nailed down?
Have you set short-term goals to meet your long-range goal?

Maxwell Maltz said it best when he said, "We find no real satisfaction or happiness in life without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve."

Our VP Education, Eric Dyson, does a great job in keeping our training needs and goals in front of us on a regular basis. However, it all boils down to what YOU do. And we all know that what you desire ... what you really want ... is exactly what you will do!
