We had another great night at the Big D! Toastmasters meeting! The theme (most appropriate) was Independence ... Ginny Higgins inspired us with words from a book over 100 years old on "Self-Reliance." Bryan Daigle, one of our newer members and a spanking brand new club officer did a good job in leading our Table Topics.

Out-going President, Jagadeesh Krishnan, inspired us all speaking from the Successful Club Series, Keeping your Commitment. Adam Brewster spoke on "Green Roofs" ... a field he knows and works in. Keith Moore used the biblical parable of the Good Samaritan to encourage all of us to do the right thing.

Our General Evaluator, Tony Brucks, used humor to lead the evaluators; Jim Wolff, Jeff Markus, and John Sessions. Awards were given to our Area Governor, Ed Meissner, for Best Table Topics speech, the Best Evaluator was Jeff Markus, Keith Moore took the Best Speech ribbon and the Big D! Toastmaster of the evening.

We had five visitors in attendance, many of them second time, and at least three of them spoke of their intent to join Big D! at our next meeting, Thursday, July 12th. We will not meet next week as many will be gone on the 4th of July.
