Just a quick report with more coming later on the TLI Training at Richland College ... there was a great turnout even though an early morning thunder shower had slid through earlier.

The Big D Club was represented today by Adam Brewster, our VP Education, Neetu Argwah, our Sergeant-at-Arms, and yours truly, VP Membership. We saw Danni Babik today but she was doing her Governor stuff. I'll let her tell you about it later.

I learned a lot! I really did. I attended the General (opening) Session, then the training for my office and then I sat in the VP Public Relations training just to see if I could pick up some good tips ... and I did. I got to meet a remarkable man, Phil Mazur (DTM), who is the Public Relations guy from District 50. He had a lot of good information, got the group to interacting, and that was an hour well spent.

I got to hand him one of our Big D Talk blog cards but he turned around and used it in the training class by telling those present how we use the internet to reach new prospects. It was a great day. I am sure Danni will have a whole lot more from a different perspective for you later.

One last thing; we officially had 3 train today. We need to have the other four officers (or their designee) go to the TLI Lite training to make sure we get everyone trained and our points for Distinguished Club recorded.

Some numbers from the TLI - about 350 Toastmasters attended; over 300 officers trained! I attended Jim Key's session, among others - I'll need to make a post about it once my life slows down enough for me to do so.......
